PART TIME COMMUNITY PHYSIOTHERAPISTS REQUIRED FOR SELF-EMPLOYED ASSOCIATE POSITIONS WITHIN PRIVATE PRACTICE.
Are you looking to work with older clients in a proactive and dynamic way that values rehabilitation AND preventative input to maintain independence? Do you want flexibility and control of your working week to achieve a work-life balance that suits your circumstances? Do you want to work in a way that allows you to use your skills to your full potential for the benefit of your clients? Do you believe that the benefits gained by physiotherapy should not stop when potential for improvement ends, and that the benefits of maintenance and prevention of decline should not be underestimated?
Zest Physiotherapy for Life are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Older People’s Specialist Physiotherapist to join our new community team in a self-employed position. Currently we have part time work available immediately in Torbay and South Devon for short term rehabilitation input and long term regular work with our corporate and individual clients. We also welcome registration of interest from candidates out of area willing to pioneer the service local to them.
Our clients benefit from continuity of care and the development of positive working relationships between therapists, clients and their carers. Zest Physiotherapy for Life also offers a unique service to local residential and nursing care-home providers and supported living environments to provide tailor made, evidence based physiotherapy packages to help residents increase their activity levels, manage the risk of falls and fractures and to maintain independence and quality of life.
We are looking for highly motivated and interesting people, who have great physiotherapy skills and knowledge and who can deliver this in a fun and progressive way. You need to have enough experience to confidently meet the expectations of your patients and the clinical skills to provide effective, lasting outcomes. You'll need to be able to think independently and show initiative, but also to be able to know when it is right to refer on or ask for some help. Most of our patients are self-paying or have private medical insurance; they expect great physiotherapists and we want to offer them the very best care and attention. We want someone who wants to utilise their unique skills and who wants to contribute to our supportive team environment.
In return, we will offer you the opportunity to work to your full potential. Our physiotherapists will have the opportunity to combine traditional physiotherapy approaches with complementary therapies such as acupuncture, Japanese hand massage, Indian head massage and specially adapted tai chi exercises to fully utilise their skillset within their scope of practise and will also have the opportunity to provide carer training, perform audits and develop action plans with our corporate client management teams.
We offer excellent remuneration for the right person with potential for flexible part time work that works around your current commitments, plus a regular in-house CPD programme, 1:1 or peer mentoring and self-employed business support.
If you think this sounds like something you’d love to do, we're waiting to hear from you. We'll happily consider physiotherapists from all backgrounds and walks of life, but applicants must be HCPC registered and a full member of the CSP. You must have experience of working with frail older adults and a proactive and dynamic approach to personal exercise programming and treatments for a wide variety of medical conditions and an understanding of customer service. Experience of leadership and change management would be of benefit for our work with our care home teams.
Mentoring and CPD available for all self-employed associates and return to practice applicants welcome.
Unfortunately, we aren't in a position to offer sponsorship for visas so eligibility to work in the UK is definitely necessary.
